Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K
Class: budget cinema cams
Camera Pros: Currently the cheapest cinema camera around. Small and light weight, ideal for gimbals, car rigs and large drones. Comes with license for DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Built-in 5 inch Touchscreen monitor.
Camera Cons: No in body image stabilisation (IBIS), so you will see jitter when shooting handheld. Look for EF lenses with built-in image stabilisation.
No built-in ND filter. Only one CFast slot.
Unique Features: The cheapest cinema camera available.
Notes: Lack of IR (infrared) filter on the sensor requires you to use an external IR filter. You could use a combined IR and UV screw-on filter.
The standard batteries have a very short life, so you might want to consider a V-Lock or Anton Bauer battery plate with a D-Tap to DC cable. The best way to mount a battery plate is on rods attached to a camera plate.
